http://free.grisoft.com/doc/downloads-products/us/frt/0?prd=aff  This is a free anti virus program not a trial but a fully functional program.

http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/  This is my favorite program. This will clean your history and all of the other junk that will slow your machine down.

http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10045910.html this will clean adware from your machine. Pretty good tool to have if you ask me.

Even with these tools you should be careful of the sites that you visit.  Most sites that offer free games of movies are legitamate, but some are filling your machine with spy-ware and BOTS.  Not to mention Viruses and worms.
